Officers from West Mercia Police are investigating after burglars smashed their way into a forecourt shop in Herefordshire.

It is believed two men wearing dark clothing rode a motorbike into the glass door of the shop to break in.

Cigarettes, vapes and cash were stolen from the Esso petrol station in Worcester Road, Great Witley, in the raid which occurred shortly after midnight on Wednesday July 27.

A member of staff was working at the petrol station at the time but was unhurt.

A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: “At about 1am today, Wednesday, July 27, we received a report of a burglary at the petrol filling station in Worcester Road, Great Whitley where cigarettes, vapes and cash were stolen.

“The offenders, two males wearing dark clothing, are believed to have ridden a motorbike into the glass door to gain entry and then made off.”

Anyone with information is asked to report it to the police, quoting incident 20 of July 27.
