Sandwell police Twitter appeal

Police in the West Midlands have put out an appeal on Twitter to find an armed robber who threatened staff and stole money from the till at the Shell forecourt in Birmingham Road, Sandwell.

The Sandwell Police (@SandwellPolice) appeal includes video footage of the robber in action. Wearing a hoodie and gloves, he boldly strolls into the shop, leaps over the counter and threatens staff with a knife. He then makes off with cash from the till.

The Tweet appeal says: “We are appealing for information after an armed robbery at a petrol station in Sandwell. We need your help to identify this man after he jumped over the cashier desk and threatened a shop worker with a knife, stealing money from the till.

“We understand his face was covered, however we hope someone may recognise his clothing, or have seen him before or after this robbery that can help us with our investigation. It happened shortly after 6pm last night (2 April) on Birmingham Road, Sandwell.
