Police are appealing for information after more than £10,000 worth of diesel was stolen from a forecourt in Norfolk.

Between 7am on Thursday 5 December and 7am on Wednesday 11 December 2013 approximately 7,800 litres of diesel were taken from a diesel tank at the Martin Service Station on the A140, Cromer Road in Erpingham.

Local press reports said the theft was only discovered during a delivery when the lock for the tank was found to be broken, and that the Pace-branded site does not have CCTV.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious in the area around the times stated or who has any further information.

They are asked to contact PC Mark Daniels at North Walsham Police Station on 101 or alternatively call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
