EG On The Move now has at least 13 forecourts in planning or construction, with an application to Chorley Borough Council signalling the firm’s intent to bring a new-to-industry site to the Lancashire town.
Documents submitted to the local authority show EGOTM is proposing to deploy its tried-and-tested forecourt design method to the site, with a 4,000sq ft glass-faced shop, offering parking spaces to its front, and the forecourt featuring four pump islands laid out in starting-grid format.
Those pumps will be served by the two 75,000-litre compartmentalised pumps EG On The Move typically installs, while the firm intends to offer four EV charging spaces, two jet wash bays and a roll-over automatic car wash.

The plot EGOTM has chosen for its latest venture spans one acre and was previously a motorhome dealer. It sits on Bengal Street close to the centre of the former cotton mill town, which lies in the centre between Manchester, Liverpool and Blackpool, being roughly 20 miles from each of those conurbations.
