SRJ is looking to double the site’s refuelling capabilities

Independent forecourt operator SRJ Convenience, which runs around 30 filling stations and convenience stores, is planning a series of improvements for a site near Motherwell, North Lanarkshire.

The firm, which purchased Sewell on the go’s Wyton Bar filling station last year, is seeking permission from North Lanarkshire Council to expand its refuelling facilities at an Esso liveried forecourt in the village of Carfin.

At present the Parks Motors site only features two pump islands, with SRJ looking to demolish these and put in four new ones.

The firm has also applied for permission from the local authority to install two new 100,000-litre underground tanks, replace the site’s canopy and add two jet wash bays to the forecourt, which lies 12 miles south-east of Glasgow.
