Raw’s expansion is being boosted by partnerships with Hubber and Landsec

EV chargepoint operator Raw, which specialises in destination devices at leisure, retail and hospitality locations, has opened two new charging hubs comprising 24 bays.

The firm’s new Tipton, West Midlands facility features 16 ultra-rapid spaces with chargers capable of dispensing electricity at up to 300kW.

It  is the third project Raw has delivered in conjunction with Hubber, a company set up by three former Tesla execs to scope and manage the construction of EV hubs on behalf of chargepoint operators.

Raw’s other recent project is at the Clarks Village retail park in Somerset and features eight bays, split across four 22kW spaces and the same number of 50kW spots. This hub comes as part of Raw’s partnership with commercial property firm Landsec, with the two firms signing a £25m deal for 1,000 chargers earlier in the year.

Jason Simpson, Raw Charging’s chief executive says the facilities are “designed to make charging easier to fit into people’s everyday journeys, with rapid, reliable charging in convenient locations”.
