Blakemore Property Ltd, part of Spar wholesaler AF Blakemore, has been given planning permission to build a 24-hour forecourt site in vacant land off Jack Mills Way in Shavington, south Cheshire. In its application, the company said it would provide a ‘much-needed’ petrol filling station and community shopping facility as well as create 30 new jobs.
The site will have four pump islands (eight refuelling points) with an overhead canopy plus two HGV pump islands (two refuelling points) with overhead canopy, a car wash, three jet wash bays, 23 car parking spaces and two cycle parking spaces.
The new forecourt store will cover 465sq m and the planning application said it would provide a top-up convenience shopping facility in a pleasant environment, which would complement Crewe town centre.
