The Air Ambulance had to be called to a Shell filling station after an elderly couple drove their Jaguar straight into the wall of the forecourt’s shop after filling up. The lunchtime accident happened at Shell’s Broughton Astley

outlet in Leicestershire, and led to the woman passenger being airlifted to hospital. Firemen had to cut the whole of one side of the maroon Jaguar open to free the trapped passenger.

Firefighters from two stations attended and immediately cut-off the forecourt’s fuel supply.
