If, after IFFE and CRS, you haven’t had enough of looking around shows -- there’s always Palmer & Harvey’s Pro- Retail Exhibition, which runs from April 29 to May 1 at the international Centre, Telford in Shropshire.

More than 180 suppliers and manufacturers, as well as over 6,500 visitors attend Pro-Retail each year, which will be showcasing the latest product innovations and providing excellent category advice, making it a must-attend event for forecourt retailers.

Retailers will be able to visit a presentation area where they can learn about developments in the industry, current legislation and upcoming trends. There will be key speakers from Palmer & Harvey and from exhibitors, who will share best practice across all aspects of retailing.

Pro-Retail will also showcase the latest developments from the Mace brand, with visitors able to discuss the benefits of becoming a symbol group member.

Retailers will also be able to learn more about Partnership Plus, Palmer and Harvey’s new scheme that provides fully tailored retail solutions aimed at boosting the sales and profitability of independent retailers.

Plus News, a bespoke news and magazine solution, will be launched at Pro-Retail, helping retailers make the most of a complex category.

Visitors can find out about the UK’s leading third party direct-to-store scheme, Plus Extra. Previously known as Ace, Plus Extra provides access to thousands of additional products, equipment and services not directly available from Palmer and Harvey depots.

Free to join for Palmer and Harvey ambient customers, Plus Extra provides members with centrally negotiated prices on products including milk, flowers and sandwiches - and because retailers receive one monthly statement from Plus Extra, they make significant savings on paperwork and administration.

Pro-Retail will also include an updated floor layout with a new food court where retailers can sample the products they can sell in their outlets.

? Show Exclusives gives independent Palmer and Harvey customers the opportunity to order products they see at Pro-Retail straight away. With over 120 exclusive deals from exhibiting manufacturers and suppliers, there are plenty of savings to be made.

To take advantage of these fantastic offers, retailers need to be either a Palmer and Harvey independent ambient or chilled & frozen customer, and must hand in their completed order book at the show.

? Fantastic prize giveaways have always been a major fixture at Pro-Retail and 2008 will certainly be no exception. This year every independent retailer who attends the show will be automatically entered into a prize draw to win great prizes including two Eye Spy 4-camera CCTV systems (drawn for Tuesday and Wednesday attendees only), six PCs, three Elcold ice cream cabinets and local press advertising and leaflet drop packages. There will be a draw held on Palmer & Harvey Stand 2 on every afternoon of the show.

? On the evenings of Tuesday April 29 and Wednesday April 30, the Gala Award Dinners offer a great opportunity for suppliers and retailers to get together for a night of entertainment, networking with key members of the trade. Tuesday evening includes the presentation of the Supplier Excellence Awards while the Retailer Excellence Awards will take place on the Wednesday.

? Visitors can make the most of their visit to Pro-Retail with the ’2 Day 1 Night’ mini-break. Available to all customers on Wednesday night only, this includes free tickets to the Gala Awards dinner.

? Palmer & Harvey offers free nationwide coach transport. For further information on how to get to Pro-Retail by coach, road, rail and air, please visit the Pro-retail website at http://www.pro-retail.co.uk/

Alternatively, car parking at the venue is free.
