Resurfacing and repair work on sections of the A14 in Suffolk have been affecting trade at the Haughley Park Service Area with adjacent Little Chef and Travelodge, near Stowmarket.

“We have had to restrict our opening hours,” said a spokesman at the service area. “The forecourt has been closing at 7.30pm on weekdays as the westbound carriageway is shut from 8pm until 6am the following morning.

“At the weekend we have had to shut from 9pm on Saturday until Monday morning. We don’t know when the work will end because of bad weather delays.”
