Next month will see UB’s Hula Hoops join up with the Britain’s Got Talent TV show for an on-pack promotion. Running across the entire Hula Hoops range, the promotion gives consumers the chance to win a free talent lesson by simply entering their pack code on the snack’s website (www.hulahoops.com). In addition, consumers get the chance to win a ’£10,000 ticket to stardom’ by creating their own Hula Hoops-themed video and uploading it to the website. The activity will be backed by TV advertising.

UB is making changes to its McCoy’s with a 30% saturated fat reduction across the range plus new packaging and a new logo. There is also a new chargrilled chicken variety. This is available in a 50g handypack, rrp 63p.

The Phileas Fogg range too gets a packaging redesign as well as two new varieties: spicy beef & Mexican chilli tortillas and tandoori chicken with Indian spices crisps.

Meanwhile in the biscuits category, UB is launching Hobnobs cookies in two varieties: milk chocolate chip and milk choc chip & hazelnut. For the more health-conscious consumer, there is a new cherry variety for Go Ahead Yoghurt Breaks.
