Canned fruit brand Princes has launched a new £1 price-marked pack (PMP) in cases of six along with an improved pack design.
The new £1 PMP formats, designed specifically for convenience, symbol and independent retailers, will feature across some of the brand’s best-selling canned fruit products. These include Peaches, Pineapple, Fruit Cocktail, Pears, Mandarins and Strawberries.
Princes reports that the PMP launch follows a successful 12-month period for the brand, which has seen value increase by 15.4% and volume up by 5.8%. This has been achieved through strong promotional activity and investing in an integrated marketing campaign to increase consumption and drive awareness.
Graham Breed, convenience channel marketing director at Princes, said: “The new smaller case sizes of six show we’re committed to helping convenience, symbol and independent retailers drive sales in the category.
“The new £1 PMP formats will help to give shoppers confidence that they’re getting a good deal. We’ve also updated our pack design with new images of the products, colour coded packs and cases to enable retailers and shoppers to differentiate and choose between the syrup and juice products quickly.”
