Patrick Sewell: Co-op Wholesale’s “values and vision align closely with our own”

Top 50 Indie Sewell on the go has entered into a five-year contract with Co-op Wholesale to supply its 12 forecourt convenience stores.

The deal will see the shops receive “full supply” from the wholsealer and is described as a “major milestone” as the company accelerates its focus on the forecourt sector, which follows it rebranding from Nisa Wholesale.

Co-op Wholesale says Sewell on the go “will retain its familiar fascia and strong local identity”, while stocking a wide range of goods including Co-op’s food-for-now and food-for-later offerings.

Patrick Sewell, Sewell on the go’s managing director, says Co-op Wholesale’s “values and vision align closely with our own”, adding that his company’s four million annual customers can “look forward to a wider, more exciting range of products in-store, while we continue to provide the same great service, value and local focus that people know and trust”.

Katie Secretan, managing director of Co-op Wholesale, says her firm is “thrilled” to be working with a “fantastic business” that has “deep roots in its communities”, and that her company’s model is “built to give partners like Sewell the freedom to stay true to their brand while delivering a market-leading range and operational support”.

Co-op Wholesale also recently rolled out high-end ‘& Co-op’ fascia, partnering with both Roadchef, and Tom Highland
