Texaco has reached an agreement with branded payment collection network, Payzone, which will see services actively marketed to its dealer network.
The full range of Payzone products will be available, including energy pre-pay and bill payments and mobile top-ups, as well as some newer services that Texaco has said offer retailers higher margins. These include 3V virtual Visa vouchers, which work as pre-paid credit vouchers; Smart Transfer, for international money transfers; and PartyPoker pre-paid gaming cards.
Commenting on the agreement Philip Minns, Texaco category manager UK and Ireland for merchandising products, said: "We are delighted to extend the payment options available through Texaco retailers. As well as increasing the range of services our retailers will be able to offer, it will also bring greater convenience for consumers."
Tim Murphy, chief operating officer of Payzone’s parent company Alphyra, said the agreement was a significant win and Payzone’s first relationship with a major oil company.
