WashTec is upgrading the performance of BP’s car wash offer at 60 locations with the introduction of its ShineTecs car care treatment.

ShineTecs replaces conventional wax products and works by coating the cleaned car with an acrylic polymer that protects the paintwork from roadside and environmental effects, and produces a durable high-gloss finish.

Following testing in 2012, BP has decided to roll out ShineTecs to sites across the country and is promoting the enhanced wash with point-of-sale material and an introductory offer. James Garton, UK asset maintenance manager of BP’s convenience retailing business, said: "From our trials, it’s clear that ShineTecs protects and significantly enhances vehicle bodywork shine and finish."
