Advancements in technology mean use of digital in-store media will continue to grow, according to Steve Davies, managing director of Comtech Holdings, in the company’s Wireless Digital Signage report.
The digital signage he refers to ranges from simple LED-based displays to TVs, plasma screens and interactive kiosks. Davies says: “The most significant technology change affecting increased use will not be the screens but the methods used to update the displays. Refreshing screen content remotely will significantly reduce the general operating costs.”
