Independent retailer Dragon Service Stations has a loyalty scheme using Payback Loyalty’s software that integrates with the site’s CBE forecourt epos system.

Introduced at Crossways Service Station in Neyland, South Wales, which owner Darren Briggs acquired in May from Rontec, the rewards system is capable of offering a points-based redemption model, as well as promotional deals integrated to the epos.

Customer name and points balance is displayed on the epos and receipt, and the ’promotion’ tool allows creation of double and triple points. The ’offer’ tool is capable of special offers such as ’buy five and get one free’.

The Payback Loyalty POS system platform is said to be structured in a way that minimises set-up and support costs, while maximising system flexibility.

Customers who collect points can redeem their vouchers at 20,000 stores around the UK through the Love to Shop scheme. Promotional deals include a 10th coffee free, three car washes for £10 and meal deals.

"We launched Dragon Rewards two weeks ago and it’s absolutely flying," said Darren. "We needed something to combat competition from the hypermarkets because we’re surrounded by three Tesco stores."
