Northern Ireland’s Henderson Group has rolled out a series of Outdoor Payment Terminals (OPT) on its forecourts.
The symbol group retailer’s first site went live in June at Spar Dundonald in East Belfast. Supplied by HTEC, the HydraOPT is said to be proving popular thanks to its speed, efficiency and ease of use.
The Chip & PIN-enabled OPT accepts a range of cards and provides the stores with access to accurate and reliable transaction processing.
Neil Granleese, retail technology manager at Henderson Group, said: "It is essential in today’s forecourt retailing environment that customers are not deterred from pulling up at a site by the thought of having to queue for fuel. By giving customers the choice to pay at the pump, we have made their trip quick and simple.
The HydraOPT is the latest in HTEC’s suite of products, which also includes point-of-sale systems. Payment for car wash and jet wash through the OPT is also available.
