The K9000 Dog Wash, which was launched at Automechanika in Germany last autumn, is now available in the UK from Dognostic Ltd. It will be on show at IFFE in Birmingham next month.
Dognostic reckons this is the first self-service coin-operated dog wash system in the UK. More than 400 have been sold in Australia and America.
The price of the basic machine is £14,970 plus VAT.
The manufacturer, Rowafill, says the big differences between the K9000 and other dog wash systems are the quality finish of the product; the state-of-the-art payment system; and the comfort for the dog. It has a seven programme control panel including: shampoo; rinse; conditioner; flea shampoo; blow dry; and disinfect tub.
The machine measures 2150mm wide x 600mm deep x 1850mm high so requires no more than a 3m x 2m area for operation. The unit needs a standard water and drainage connection. Connection is via a normal 230 volt supply and the unit will work in temperatures of -10º to +50ºC.
Cost per wash starts at £7.50 for 10 minutes, while cost to the operator per wash is just 90p for the water, electricity and chemicals.
