Addgards has launched The ’Hand & Handle’ sanitising wet wipe dispenser to cater for customers concerned about the hygiene or smell of petrol pumps.
The company says a problem was identified by an American study that found high levels of bacteria and viruses on petrol pumps. Another problem is the smell of petrol and diesel left on customers’ hands.
The product is a free-standing and weighted dispenser which holds up to 1,000 sanitising wipes with an integrated bin for the used wipe. Every wipe has an odour neutraliser built in to remove the smell of petrol and diesel from hands.
Addgards says the product is particularly appropriate for forecourts that are trying to encourage customers to spend more money on non-fuel items, such as hot and fresh food and drinks.
