National security systems installer Metro Security has been named by international fuel retailing solutions provider Tokheim as its UK partner for the new Tokheim Eye system.
Tokheim Eye brings together service station security for forecourt pumps, payment and imagery in one package, interfacing high definition (HD) surveillance cameras with automatic number plate (ANPR) recognition software and point-of-sale equipment at the pumps and within the kiosk.
"Forecourt fuel retailers are being battered by low margins, falling sales and shrinkage threats to their business," said Metro Security’s managing director, Trevor Wallace. "As Tokheim’s key UK partner, we can provide an effective and holistic solution to these problems using Tokheim Eye. Importantly, the system’s exciting security and operational advantages also mean the installation will pay for itself."
The first Tokheim Eye system has already been trialled at Ron Perry & Son’s two service stations near Hartlepool and encouraging results have convinced owner Ron Perry to expand the installation: "The images and data I’ve seen have been invaluable in revealing the operational management improvements we can make," he commented.
