EG Group co-founder and co-CEO Zuber Issa is undertaking a one-store grocery convenience trial under the brand name Euro Grocers, separate to his other business interests.
Euro Grocers is a planned 6,000 sq ft modern ‘urban transient’ grocery convenience store with a strong focus on a broad range of fresh and frozen staple groceries to serve the community in Blackburn with Darwen and surrounding areas.
There will also be an on-site butchery, fishmonger and Ambala (Indian sweets/savouries) concession plus specialist items like vape products. Customers will be able to use self-checkouts and there will be a car park with around 40 car parking spaces along with a free ATM. The project is in the early phase of design and development.
The Top 50 EG Group currently has more than 6,000 sites across the world, dedicated to serving the convenience needs of today’s busy consumer with grocery, merchandise, foodservice and fuel.
