Element 2

Element 2, which is seeking to develop a network of hydrogen refuelling stations (HRS) across the UK and Ireland, has been awarded international safety certification.

The company has been awarded ISO 9001-2015 and ISO 14001-2015 certifications by QMS International for its Quality Management Systems (QMS) in the provision of hydrogen refuelling services.

Brendan Bilton, chief technology officer, Element 2, said: “Achieving international certifications for our quality management systems provides clients and stakeholders with peace of mind about our high levels of safety, quality, performance and compliance as we continue to grow the UK’s hydrogen fuelling infrastructure.”

Industry standard ISO 9001 is the world’s most recognised QMS standard. ISO 14001 is the leading international standard for environmental management systems.

Element 2’s achievement of the two industry standards follows an independent assessment by auditors and was awarded in recognition of the consistent quality in the delivery of its services. The ISO framework ensures Element 2 will remain committed to meeting customer, stakeholder and regulatory requirements.

Bilton added: “As we build the hydrogen refuelling network of the future, ensuring we continue to safely meet the needs of our customers, clients and partners and we protect the environment we operate in will remain key priorities for our business.”
