Roadchef has opened the first ever Leon restaurant in Wales at its Magor motorway service area (MSA).
The company says the introduction of the popular ‘Naturally Fast Food’ brand will be a very welcome addition to the existing food and beverage offering at the site, which is located on the M4 near Newport.
The Leon menu boasts organic and sustainable Mediterranean-inspired food including its famous grilled wraps, rice boxes, poached egg breakfast pots and triple-certified coffee. Leon aims to make it easier for everyone to ‘eat well, live well and be kind to the planet’.
In addition to the variety and convenience the new restaurant offers to travellers and local communities, the opening is set to create up to 15 full and part-time job opportunities for the area.
Gary Lumsden, site director at Roadchef Magor, said: “It is hugely exciting to announce we are opening the first ever Leon restaurant in Wales at our Roadchef Magor site.
“Leon is a popular UK restaurant chain that has always remained ahead of the curve in its offering with nutritious and sustainable food with consumers’ wellness in mind. This makes it a clear choice as the next addition to the Roadchef site, alongside the other well-known and loved brands such as McDonald’s and Costa Coffee.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming 15 new members of the Roadchef Magor team who will also be the first Leon team members in the country.”
Glenn Edwards, managing director at Leon Restaurants, said: “It’s really important for us to make our Leon restaurants accessible to people up and down the UK. We’re delighted that Roadchef is opening not only our first ever Leon in Wales, but the first Leon outside of England in the United Kingdom, a very exciting milestone for our brand.”
