Tuffins Welshpool

Top 50 Indie Rontec has acquired the Tuffins Welshpool forecourt in Powys. Tuffins will close on Sunday, October 29 at 6pm and stay shut for a short time while the forecourt and convenience store are rebranded. According to a post on Facebook, all staff will be retained by Rontec.

Harry Tuffin bought his first petrol station in 1955. In 1962, he was joined by his daughter Ruby and her husband Roy Delves – and their son Paul joined the business in 1978.

They became Delves & Co. They sold their business to Midcounties Co-op in 2012 but one year later they bought back the Craven Arms supermarket, which includes a forecourt. In 2018, the company opened the Welshpool convenience store and forecourt.
