Current political issues affecting forecourt retailers, testimonials from successful emerging players in the sector and how the sector will continue to evolve over the next few years will be the key topics discussed at this year’s Forecourt Seminar.

Jointly organised by the Association of Convenience Stores and RMI Petrol for the second year running, the 2012 Forecourt Seminar will include presentations from the following speakers:

Jonathan Rons, him! (Chair)

A panel session featuring David Newton (BP), Robert Fraser (Fraser Group) and Jeremy Clarke (Motor Fuel Group)

Simon Davis (Harvest Energy)

Keith Carsley (Background2)

Ron Delnevo (Bank Machine)

Michael O’Loughlin (Applegreen)

Robert Onion (Circle)

RMI Petrol chairman Brian Madderson said: “We are pleased to be working with ACS on the forecourt seminar again this year. Our expertise on retail road fuel issues combined with ACS’ extensive knowledge of upcoming policy changes, not to mention the fantastic line-up of speakers we have for the event, will make for an incredibly valuable day for those in attendance.”

ACS chief executive James Lowman said: “After April’s excessive business rates increases and the recent threat of fuel strikes, forecourt retailers have already had a turbulent year. This year’s Forecourt Seminar will give fuel retailers the information and tools that they need to plan for the rest of 2012 and beyond.”

The Forecourt Seminar is taking place on July 5 at the King Power Stadium in Leicester. Attendance is free for ACS and RMIP members. A full agenda and speaker list is available on the ACS website. This event is sponsored by JTI, Bank Machine and Harvest Energy.
