Police are appealing for witnesses to a robbery at a petrol station in Crewe where a lone assistant was forced to keep serving customers while the crooks carried out the crime.

DS Paul Basford said: “Police are appealing for anyone who visited the petrol station between 10pm on the Wednesday evening and 3am on the Thursday morning.
“In particular we would like to talk to any customer who attended between those hours and was served by the night worker.”
