A service station in Heckmondwike, West Yorkshire, has been robbed of hundreds of pounds by two armed robbers.
The men pulled in to the Adam Brothers’ Texaco garage in Walkley Lane at around 3.30pm on Thursday March 27.
One man, wearing a helmet, went inside and brandished a knife and demanded cash. The second man followed and jumped over the counter and the pair grabbed several hundreds of pounds from the till.
Detective inspector Mark Walker of Kirklees CID said: “We have responded to an incident at the Texaco petrol station in Heckmondwike.
“Two suspects are involved and nobody was injured. Enquiries are at an early stage and are ongoing.”
The amed robbery is the second one in a week on a service station in West Yorkshire Police’s territory. Police are investigating an armed raid by a gunman on a motorbike who stole cash and cigarettes from the BP petrol station in Bradley on Sunday.
