Shaji Thomas, owner of Ashcroft Service Station, St Helens is growing his business with impressive results.
Since 2012, fuel volumes have almost doubled and both in the shop and on the forecourt the positive trend continues. Improvements have been made to both the presentation and range of products within the shop and 24-hour opening introduced. Recently, Ashcroft Service Station switched brands from Power to Pace, a move that is also reaping rewards.
“The response to the Pace brand has been very positive with many customers commenting on the quality of the image, lighting and the professional standards that are now in place,” enthuses proprietor, Shaji Thomas. “In addition, we can now accept the Shell and Pace Fuel Cards, both of which will assist in further volume growth and enable us to develop closer relationships with local businesses.”
“We have developed a fantastic relationship with our area manager, Matthew Bellamy, whose experience and hands-on approach are proving invaluable. That feel-good factor extends to Certas Energy. Both companies are on an exciting journey and the opportunities appear endless.”
One recent initiative to catch the attention of Shaji is the Certas tie-up with Londis.
“This has prompted us to evaluate our shop offering; we can see the benefit of utilising the relationship with Londis to our own advantage.”
