West Mercia police are appealing for information about an attempted robbery at Sainsbury’s petrol station in Kidderminster, Worcestershire.
It happened at about 11.30pm Wednesday, 8 January as staff were cashing up.
Three offenders, who were wearing masks and were armed with a crowbar, forced their way in through a rear door and demanded money. They tried to open the safe but were unable to do so and left empty handed.
One of the men was of stocky build, and wearing a ski mask and a hat across his face, along with a dark coloured tracksuit top, denim jeans, and distinctive luminous gloves.
A second man was wearing a devil mask and dark clothing. The third one was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms and a dark top. It is believed they ran off on foot.
The two female staff were shocked but unhurt. The petrol station was sealed off for forensic investigation and reopened later on Thursday.
Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to contact detective constable Hilary Martin on the non-emergency number 101, quoting incident reference 614-s-080114, or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
