Police in Scotland have released a CCTV image of a man they want to trace after an attempt to steal cash from a Dumfries filling station.
It follows an incident at the Newton Gardens site on Glasgow Road at about 21:55 on Saturday 1 November.
A man with a "deep Scottish accent" approached a cashier and demanded she put all the money from the till into a bag.
However, when he was challenged he left the premises empty-handed.
The man has been described as in his late 20s or early 30s and of slim to medium build.
He was wearing a royal blue Gio Goi branded zipped jacket, which was zipped up, dark sunglasses, and blue Gio Goi branded jeans.
Anyone who can identify the man has been asked to contact police.
