Police in Bridgend, South Wales, are investigating a burglary of a Texaco petrol station kiosk which happened at around 3.45am on Sunday 23rd June.

Access was gained through the roof of the petrol station shop on Cowbridge Road, Bridgend, and several thousand pounds worth of cigarettes were stolen.

Detective constable Michael Maund of Bridgend CID said: “It appears that whoever was responsible for this theft gained access from the rear of the property in the early hours of Sunday morning.

“We are appealing for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area, which backs on to Bridgend College, around this time to contact us.

“We also want to hear from anyone who may be offered any cigarettes for sale.”
