Around 180 fuel industry delegates are gathering for next week’s 2012 PetroForum in the Algarve to participate in an eclectic mix of topical forums.
Brian Madderson of RMI Petrol – whose tireless campaigning has invigorated the Association’s profile with Government and the media – opens with an overview on the state of the market. He is joined by the Editor of Forecourt Trader, Merril Boulton.
The forum’s Gold Partner, Petrotec, will take a look how at retailers will need to adapt to the acceleration of electric vehicles, asking whether threat or opportunity? Two case studies complete the line-up: Robert Botkai of Winckworth Sherwood will address critical changes in alcohol licensing and strategies to protect your licence, followed by some recommendations on what can be done to guarantee reductions in energy consumption from Paul Jordon of the Jordon Group.
The conference will end with guest-speaker Wilfred Emmanuel Jones – described as a classic entrepreneur with an ‘anything is possible’ attitude to everything he does.
PetroForum, a biennial gathering for the forecourt sector in the UK and Ireland, is organised by OpenRoom Events Ltd, and runs from June 18-19th.
