Top 50 Indie Euro Garages has opened two new-to-industry sites in Lancashire, with one featuring its first drive-thru KFC restaurant and Sainsbury’s Locals on both forecourts.
The drive-thru restaurant is part of a £3.5m development by Euro Garages at Mill Farm in Wesham, which comprises a BP service station, and also features Euro Garages’ 100th Greggs store and its seventh Sainsbury’s Local.
Iain Fisher, brand manager, joined Euro Garages in December 2016 and is working closely with KFC UK & Ireland to identify and explore new development opportunities.
He said: "We are planning to open a further 30-plus KFC restaurants across the UK by 2020."
The second service station, at Buckshaw Village, in Chorley, comprises a Starbucks Drive-Thru, a 24-hour Sainsbury’s, a Greggs, Subway and a BP fuel stop.
Barry Westley, area manager of Euro Garages, said that the Sainsbury’s had created 15 new jobs. He said: "People are busy and there is a growing trend that they want to do a top-up shop while they stop to either fill up or visit our locations for coffee, breakfast or lunch."
Euro Garages is the first company Sainsbury’s has allowed to operate a Sainsbury’s Local store.
