Euro Garages has undertaken a cluster of Subway store openings with the latest one in Mackworth, Derbyshire taking it to nine in the past fortnight and 61 in total.
The company said it was this level of investment that enabled Euro Garages to secure the ‘Developer of the Year’ award at the recent Subway Convention in San Diego. The award recognises Euro Garages development and roll out of 12 new stores during 2013/14.
Ilyas Munshi, commercial director, Euro Garages, commented: “As Euro Garages continue to grow, it is important for us to strengthen our partnership with leading global food and drink brands such as Subway in order to deliver the best consumer experience for fresh food and drink.
“This strategic partnership is mutually beneficial bringing together ‘the world’s largest restaurant chain’ with one of the UK’s leading independent forecourt operators, allowing both brands to create employment and career pathways, extend customer experience and further drive sales. We aim to roll-out even more Subways during 2014/15.
l Euro Garages has won planning permission to build a £1.5m service station on the site of a current service station on the outskirts of Cockermouth in Cumbria.
The plans comprise a new forecourt, pumps, underground tanks and convenience store with a Subway sandwich shop, cash machine, drive-through Starbucks coffee shop, car wash and parking.
