Euro Garages has set a new target of having 175 Subway stores across its estate by the end of 2016.
It announced the new target as it opened the 100th Subway on a Euro Garages site at Holtspur Service Station in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire. The store marks the completion of Euro Garages’ strategic growth plans to invest in and open 100 Subway stores by 2016, creating around 700 new jobs.
Ahmed Kazi of Euro Garages commented: “It is with great pleasure to announce the opening of our 100th Subway store at Holtspur Service Station, and achieve our 100 stores target earlier than forecast.
“The Subway brand is known for its strength in introducing the brand through effective convenience channels, and this partnership offers strong support for our own business. “Reaching this milestone is testament to our investment, people, capital and systems. We look forward to growing our estate even further in 2016, as we work towards our target of 175 Subway stores across our sites by the end of next year.”
Having acquired 104 Esso forecourt sites in the South East and a further 68 Shell sites across the country earlier this year, Euro Garages is continuing its national expansion plans across the UK. It was ranked fourth in the most recent Forecourt Trader Top 50 Indies, owns and operates more than 360 forecourt sites and employs more than 3,000 employees.
Tesh Patel, development agent for Subway in Buckinghamshire, added: “We have been working closely with Euro Garages in parts of the Midlands and Thames Valley for many months now, and we’re delighted to see the hard work pay off with the opening of our 100th integrated Subway store.
“The recent expansion of the Euro Garages estate creates a great opportunity for us to open even more Subway stores in the region and throughout the country. We look forward to working with Euro Garages on the opening of more stores in the near future.”
