Top 50 independent retailer Euro Garages has reopened its flagship site -
Newtown in Skelmersdale. The forecourt, located on Railway Road, has been transformed following a major £2.3m investment.
The 12-week redevelopment programme included a new Spar-branded convenience store, which now stocks fresh grocery products. It also provides Lottery, photocopying and instant photo facilities.
On the forecourt, new pumps, jet washes and a rollover car wash have been installed.
Ashraf Mulla, area manager at Euro Garages - which stands at number four with 82 sites in Forecourt Trader’s latest Top 50 listing - said: "We’ve invested heavily in our Newtown site to make this a real flagship location in Skelmersdale. Our goal as a business is to be known for outstanding customer service - making sure we’re providing the best quality and range of facilities, both on the forecourt and in our stores, is an important part of that."
Meanwhile Euro Garages is partnering bakery retailer Greggs, which is making its first move into petrol stations. The deal will see the new Greggs store open at the recently renovated Blackford Bridge site in Bury. Mohsin Issa, director at Euro Garages, said: "It is essential for us to strike partnerships with strong brands. Greggs places as much importance on quality of customer service as we do."
