Forecourt Trader of the Year winner and Top 50 independent Patrick Sewell of the Hull-based Sewell Group, will be one of

the speakers at the Forecourt Seminar 2010, organised by The Association of Convenience Stores.

The day-long, conference-style seminar is being held at the Walker Stadium in Leicester on July 6, and is specifically aimed at tackling issues related to forecourt retailing, covering subjects such as forecourt licensing; consumer trends; best practice in ‘green’ retailing; news and magazines on the forecourt; and the future of the tobacco category.

Patrick will explain how his company recruits and manages their staff, and give some insights into how they have achieved their multi-award winning status.

Other speakers will include David Charman, chairman of the Car Wash Association, who will give an update on the work to improve standards and create a level playing field in the car wash industry; and Brian Madderson, chairman of RMI Petrol who will present the latest developments in
the ongoing dispute over the rating of petrol forecourts and offer insights for individual operators.

The event is free to ACS members and retailers belonging to symbol groups in ACS membership. Places are £200 to non-members.
