Parcel service Collect+ has helped drive footfall and boost revenue at 132 forecourt stores, according to new research by the company.
Figures reveal that more than a third (39%) of customers using the service are visiting the network of 3,800 local shops, including 132 forecourts, for the first time. And 38% of all Collect+ customers also buy products in-store when dropping off or collecting parcels.
The Collect+ service offers flexible and convenient returns and deliveries through parcel delivery company Yodel from participating shops within the PayPoint network, giving retailers the opportunity to attract customers who may not previously have had a reason to visit the store. The research also revealed that 80% of Collect+ customers said the service has encouraged them to use the store again.
Mark Lewis, CEO of Collect+, said: “We work very closely with the network of 3,800 corner shops that deliver the Collect+ service, so it is extremely encouraging to see that these local businesses are seeing an increase in revenue and repeat business.
“We have plans to extend that network throughout the rest of the year, meaning additional stores will be able to reap the benefits of providing our innovative service. Negotiations are currently underway with a number of other groups which would introduce an additional 400 forecourt stores into the network later this year.”
