APEA (Association of Petroleum and Explosives Administrators) has announced that former secretary of state for energy, and then for transport, Lord Howell will be the keynote speaker at its annual conference.

Alex Boudry, APEA events chairman, said: “This year, we are especially delighted to announce that our conference keynote address will be presented by the Right Honourable Lord Howell of Guildford. Lord Howell’s address will focus on the key issues facing the UK’s energy market and how the government is planning to address some of these issues. Each year our event grows in both numbers and importance as we gather the best minds in the forecourt industry together under one roof for our conference, exhibition and awards dinner.

“This year our conference theme is ‘The Evolving Forecourt Experience’ focusing on new developments across the petrol station forecourt which affect retailers, suppliers and regulators alike.”

The conference and adjoining exhibition are free of charge and are sponsored by LCM Environmental. The full programme and booking is available via the APEA event website.

In the evening there will be the Awards Dinner sponsored by Petrocom. All the events will take place at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry, on November 5.
