One of Scotland’s newest, state-of-the-art sites, Auld Brig Service Station, has signed with Gulf, further strengthening the brand’s presence north of the border.

The 1.8 million litre Alloa location, heralded as one of the most progressive in the UK, includes a Wi-Fi lounge within its Londis store, which also features a Costa Coffee outlet. Outside tables and chairs are in place for the summer months, with ample parking available.

The shop stocks a full range of locally-sourced produce including a wide selection of speciality beef, steaks, sausages and pies from renowned Scottish Butcher, Hillfoots Country, as well as freshly made sandwiches as part of its Hot Food To Go Bakery.

“We’re excited about the site and how it’s performed since opening in January, it’s been going great guns,” explained area manager Wendy Newton. “From day one everything has been developed with local people in mind and not only the region’s motorists.”

Auld Brig, the latest Penny Petroleum site to sign with Gulf, is on course to achieve its initial weekly shop turnover target of £10,000.

“The Gulf image adds further credibility to the forecourt, which has been important in these first few months,” continues Wendy. “LPG pumps were installed recently and we’re very happy with how the business is progressing and are committed to making it a beacon of our community.”
