Greenergy has announced the appointment of Andrew Cannell as the company’s new head of dealer and independent retail. The new role has been created in order to provide continued focus on growth and innovation for customers.
Cannell joined Greenergy as a territory manager in September 2014 when Greenergy became the fuel supplier to Esso dealerships nationally. Having previously spent 19 years at Esso, he has experience in management and business planning in a variety of roles, including taking a leading role in the Esso Tesco alliance, as consultant engineer and area manager for industrial lubricants in the South East, and rolling out change management across Europe.
Greenergy’s flexible fuel supply offer for independent dealers has grown rapidly in popularity since it was introduced just over two years ago, and today the company supplies over 300 dealer sites.
Cannell said: “I’m extremely proud to be leading Greenergy’s retail team. There’s a dynamism and can-do attitude in the company that allows us to succeed where others would not. In my new role, I’ll be looking for new ways to develop our fuel supply offer further, to ensure we remain the fuel supplier of choice for dealers now and into the future.”
Caroline Lumbard, UK trading director said: “Andrew has an in-depth understanding of the industry and has some great ideas on how we can continue to set ourselves apart in a highly competitive market. Over the next couple of months we’ll be recruiting an additional two experienced members to our team to help achieve this.”
