A Gulf customer has won a holiday to Barcelona despite having forgotten they entered the competition in the first place.
Shirley Wedlock, a project manager from Ebbw Vale, Blaenau Gwent, had put her name in the hat having previously scanned Gulf’s Oomph loyalty app at her local filling station, but it later slipped her mind that she had done so.
Wedlock later received an email telling her she had won the holiday, which left her feeling “over the moon”.
Wendy Watkins, manager at The Gulf Ebbw Vale Service Station, says Wedlock is a “loyal customer”, adding: “It’s brilliant to see someone who uses our garage regularly get such a fantastic prize.”
