Police in Scotland have released CCTV images of a man they want to trace in connection with an attempted robbery at the Shell Petrol Station, Forfar Road, Dundee, at about 8.50pm on Tuesday 7 October 2014.

A man threatened the female cashier with a knife and demanded money from her, but fled empty-handed and was last seen heading in the direction of either Linlathen or the Kingsway.

Police are keen to speak with the man about the ongoing investigation and anyone who can assist in identifying him is asked to come forward. 

He is described as five feet seven inches tall, in his late 20s, wearing a blue or navy blue baseball cap, a dark-coloured hooded jacket with grey-coloured sleeves, dark-coloured jeans, dark-coloured gloves and trainers. He was also wearing a black and white coloured scarf pulled up over his face.
