Gulf in BP fuel card deal
Gulf and other Certas Energy supplied forecourts have been given access to BP’s fuel card from 1 December 2014 as the company looks to drive new business to its forecourts.
New CEO for Nisa
Nisa has announced the appointment of Nick Read as its new chief executive officer. He will take over from Neil Turton in February. Read joins Nisa from Thomas Cook, where he was group customer service director.
HMRC removes pumps
A filling station suspected of selling illicit fuel has had its forecourt pumps removed by HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC). HMRC worked with specialist contractors to remove the fuel pumps and an over-ground fuel storage tank at the forecourt in County Down, Northern Ireland.
Robbery at A6 forecourt
Bedfordshire Police are seeking information after a robbery at the A6 Filling Station on the A6 at Rushden Road, Souldrop at 8.05pm on Tuesday 30 December. The offender was described as having pale blue eyes, about 5 foot 8 inches tall and was of slim build. He was wearing a face covering, dark jogging bottoms and a grey jacket.
Tobacco voucher scam
Tobacco manufacturer Imperial Tobacco is warning retailers to be aware of a JPS voucher scam. The blue circular vouchers, which are in no way associated with Imperial Tobacco, claim to offer consumers £3 off products in the JPS range.
New cars at 10 year high
New car registrations in 2014 were the highest for 10 years and the fourth highest on record, according to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT). During 2014 a total of 2,476,435 new cars were registered in the UK.
