Certas Energy has begun installing charge points across its estate of company owned sites following a nationwide lease agreement with electric charging experts InstaVolt. The company is installing two sleek 50kw charging stations on most sites.

Top 50 Indie Karan Retail has taken the lease on the BP-branded petrol filling station fronting the A2 at Bapchild just outside of Sittingbourne, Kent, in a deal arranged by Rapleys. It has a four-square formation with a shop and car wash.

Pivot Power has unveiled plans to build a network of grid-scale batteries across the UK, which it claims will power the largest network of electric vehicle (EV) rapid charging stations in the world. The £1.6bn programme includes plans to develop 45 sites around the country.

Forecourt Eye’s crime prevention and loss recovery service is to be offered as an extension to Greenergy’s fuel offer to dealer forecourts across the UK and Ireland. Forecourt Eye provides a digital service to forecourt retailers to combat ’no means of payment’ instances and deter drive-offs.

A new taskforce dedicated to boosting the infrastructure for electric vehicles (EVs) across the capital has been launched by the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan. The taskforce comprises 16 organisations including Shell UK and the RAC Foundation.

Welcome Break has opened a Pizza Express restaurant at South Mimms services (M25 junction 23). It follows on from the opening of Pizza Express at Welcome Break’s Oxford Services in December 2017.
bmw contactless ev charging
BMW will shortly start production on electric vehicles offering contactless charging, which it claims is a world first. It will initially be offered with the BMW 530e, launching in Germany first, then the UK.
