Oil 4 Wales is celebrating its turnover rising above £100m for the first time. The family-run business, which supplies 65,000 domestic, agricultural and commercial customers across Wales, achieved turnover of £104.8m for the year to August 31, 2017, up from £86.7m the previous year.

Staff and customers at a petrol station in Dover had a remarkable escape after a vintage car smashed into the forecourt shop, ending up several metres inside the building. Two people in the car were treated for minor injuries at Dover South BP service station.
forecourt attacker jailed
A 30-year-old man who attacked a teenage female forecourt attendant during a robbery has been jailed for six-and-a-half years. Drug addict Robert Shane Hughes admitted robbery and assault at the Shell service station in Denbigh in north Wales in April, and possessing a knife. He was jailed previously for robbing another fuel station in 2011 while armed with a crossbow.
welcome break/ssp partnership
Welcome Break is introducing new branded outlets at its services in partnership with SSP. The first outlet opened as part of the initiative was an Upper Crust unit at Welcome Break’s Oxford Services site. A Pasty Shop has also been introduced at Welcome Break’s Telford Services and further Upper Crust stores are opening at Warwick North and Warwick South Services.
applegreen opens 80th subway
Top 50 Indie Applegreen has installed its 80th Subway outlet. The store is at the Applegreen forecourt at Millfield Shopping Centre in Balbriggan, Republic of Ireland. Applegreen has been a Subway partner since 2013. It now has 49 Subway stores at its sites in the Republic of Ireland, 26 in Great Britain and five in Northern Ireland, with plans for further stores in the pipeline.
bp gets planning permission
BP Oil has won planning permission for a new petrol filling station, M&S Simply Food and McDonald’s drive-thru restaurant on a greenfield site at Scole, near Diss in Suffolk.
