The Serious Fraud Office (SFO) has informed Greenergy that the company and its employees are no longer suspects in an ongoing investigation. In May last year, the SFO announced it was investigating aspects of biodiesel trading at Greenergy and various third parties as part of a broader investigation.
mfg gets new property director
Motor Fuel Group has appointed Graham Wilson as its new property director. Wilson, who is a qualified chartered surveyor, joins from McDonald’s, where he was a senior acquisitions manager. Previously, he spent five years with Sainsbury’s as a development surveyor. He will report to chief executive officer William Bannister.
car set on fire on forecourt
A stolen car was set on fire on the forecourt of a Belfast petrol filling station last month, in what police described as an "unbelievably reckless" act. The car was destroyed in the fire and a "considerable amount of damage" was caused to the filling station.
link urged to cancel fee cut
The ACS is calling on Link, which manages the UK’s ATM network, to cancel its next planned fee cut and stop large numbers of machines being lost from local communities. Link’s cuts to the fees that are paid to cash machine operators have resulted in thousands of free cash machines being lost in communities across the UK, leaving tens of thousands of people without any way of getting access to their money.
police search for atm thieves
Police are searching for attackers who stole a cashpoint from an Esso garage on the A10 near King’s Lynn. A Mercedes Sprinter van was used in the theft of the cash machine, which was later recovered by police.
