Two new ’energy-efficient’ digital scroll commercial condensing units targeting the convenience sector have been launched by J & E Hall.

The Series 3 Fusion Digital Scroll Commercial Condensing Unit and the Series 5 Fusion Twin Scroll Commercial Condensing Unit are the next generation in medium temperature control technology. They offer greater energy efficiency by delivering variable load matching of between 10 per cent to 100 per cent, according to J & E Hall product support manager Andy Wells.

“Digital really does make a difference," he said. "Sixty per cent of chilled cabinets in convenience stores have doors and this means that energy use varies greatly. To accommodate this, the new Digital Scroll Commercial Condensing units offer accurate load matching, so there is no need for the system to be working flat out all the time. These next generation CCUs for medium temperature applications are easy to install and maintain – and are compliant with the latest EU energy saving requirements.”

The new Series 3 Fusion Digital Scroll Commercial Condensing Units have up to a 16kW capacity, an evaporation temperature range of between -20°C and + 5°C and are suitable for multi-cabinet systems.

The units employ the efficient Copeland digital scroll compressor. They are acoustically lined to further reduce noise, have a Carel electronic controller with LCD display and are ErP lot 11 compliant.
