Everything at the site bar its canopy and shop exterior has been renewed

A Jet branded forecourt in Restalrig, Edinburgh, has reopened after closing its doors for six months for a comprehensive update.

So significant was the upgrade that only the canopy roof and shop building are original, with new pumps and hardstanding installed, and a completely new retail offering introduced.

The Premier-liveried store now prioritises food to go, with offerings including a Stephens Bakery counter, Rollover hot food, Savage Kitchen ready meals and Lavazza coffee.

The forecourt’s owner, Rajan Sood, has also invested in new security tech from RETail, which uses artificial intelligence to alert staff to suspicious behaviour.

Sood observed: “This is a complete transformation of the site, and we’re really proud to be reopening and welcoming the community back. After being closed for six months, it’s been great to hear such positive feedback from local customers, particularly around the improved shop and food offer.”

Graham Clout, retail manager, UK marketing with Jet owners Phillips 66 added: “It’s great to see the transformation of JET Restalrig and the positive impact this investment has on serving the local community.”
